Oakwood Park

Location: 550 Oakwood Road (East of Metamora Road)
Entrance: Adjacent to the DNR parking
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Year Round.

This 300 acre park was purchased with the assistance of Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust fund Acquisition Grant. The 1.5 million dollar park has many beautiful natural attributes as well as a wide variety of wild life and plants. A branch of the Flint River runs directly through the entire park. A parking lot, numerous hiking trails and paths to Rossman Lake will be available this year.

 

 

 

Powell Lake Park

Location: 1397 Lapeer road ( M-24 north of Oxford just past Ray Road)
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Memorial Day to Labor Day
Beach Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily

This 13-acre park has a beach, three picnic pavilion (Albertson, Brabb, & Martin), a gazebo, restrooms, boat launch, playground and picnic areas with tables and grills. Stony Lake is a resident only park. Non-residents pavilion guests of Oxford Township Residents may enter the park for a fee of $5 per car.

 
 

Stony Lake Park

Location: 530 Pontiac Street (adjacent to the Library)
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. year round

This 56-acre park features a passive recreation activites including a 1 mile A.D.A. approved asphalt nature trail fishing on Powell Lake, boardwalks and access to the Polly Ann Trail.
